Chill Panda is a new type of app that allows children and adults to start to understand how their bodies respond to different feelings. The game is set on the beautiful island of Chill Ville, where the user helps Chill Panda manage fear and worry, so that nothing can stop Panda from having fun! The game features include filling Chill Panda's Well of Wellbeing, meeting villagers, farming, clearing land, catching fireflies, creating colorful pictures, earning coins, surfing the waves, personalizing Panda, and collecting seeds to grow a flower garden.
Chill Panda also includes a heart rate monitor app that detects pulse using the camera on your phone or tablet. The app aims to enhance self-regulation of emotions by introducing ideas and skills that could help children and families understand the relationship between their feelings, body sensations, and different activities. The heart rate monitor app reflects on the user's actions and the effect they have on their heart rate, which helps them learn what helps them feel better.
Chill Panda is not a medical device, and heart rates are shown only for guidance. Camara permission is needed for measuring heart rate, and microphone permission is needed for one of the mini-games that requires the user to blow into it.
